Solar greenhouses are designed to collect and store solar energy. This is a very efficient way to keep the plants warm at night and when the weather is colder than usual. Two most critical factors that influence the amount of solar heat a greenhouse is able to absorb are:

• The position or location of the greenhouse in relation to the sun.
• The type of glazing material used.
